Working Opportunities
1.0) Jonah can be hired as a: writer, director, performer, storyteller, and actor. Opportunities are available to hire Jonah for multiple roles, and on repeat occasions.
1.1) Jonah primarily works on a contractual or project-to-project basis. *Note that Jonah develops his own original ideas and finished work for each project that he chooses to undertake, unless he is working on a collaborative project. *Ideas, however, can be tailored if Jonah is being hired for a special occasion.
1.2) Jonah is a Supporting Member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada.
1.3) Prospective clients, agents, producers, publishers, journals, and fellow creatives may contact Jonah to discuss working opportunities, rates and representation. Please contact him using the proper channels, ie. the website contact page, LinkedIn, IMDB Pro, Facebook, or on the PGC website.
2.0) Contract opportunities include:
2.1) The publication or purchase of one of Jonah’s already written works. This can range from: publishing one of Jonah’s poems, essays, or stories in a print or online journal, featuring his work on a print or digital platform, publishing some of his work into book format, renting the rights to showcase one of his plays, featuring his work at a festival, and purchasing the rights to use one of Jonah’s stories or scripts for a film.
2.2) Commissioning to write in any of the following forms: poetry, prose, non-fiction, playwriting, screenwriting, multimedia storytelling, audio drama, songwriting, copywriting, any original form invented by Jonah, or other non-specified genres.
2.3) Commissioning to perform live with any of the following forms: poetry, prose, non-fiction, improv, plays, multimedia storytelling, oral storytelling, with any original form invented by Jonah, or other non-specified genres.
2.4) Commissioning to perform in a recorded setting, whether it be for film, audio narration, readings, multimedia storytelling, any form invented by Jonah, or other non-specified genre.
2.5) Commissioning to write and/or perform at private events. This can range from private parties, weddings, corporate events, or private shows.
2.6) Commissioning to write and/or perform for public events. This can range from speaking engagements, public shows, and festivals etc.
2.7) Opportunities to perform or narrate another creative’s work, depending on the client’s taste.
3.0) The following services are not provided: writing a company’s or person’s social media posts, ghostwriting personal memoirs, writing articles, blog posts, or copy for a person or company at a “per word” rate, editing unsolicited work, and writing passion projects for other people, no matter the genre.
4.0) Jonah discusses the rates for his services with prospective clients in private. When necessary, contracts will be created under the guidance of Canadian Publishing and Entertainment Laws; a must to protect the rights of the ‘creative’ as well as their prospective clients or benefactors.
